Summer Solstice 2023 – Living Consciously with the Seasons. Modern Meditation Day Retreat
Saturday, 17 June 2023
Join beanddo at our new West Country home, Ananda Barn for a year-long journey exploring how to live in harmony with the natural world.
In 2023 we are organising four special Modern Meditation based workshops in the Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Each day-long workshop will help you reconnect and align with the rhythms of the natural world and our own natural state of being. We will be connecting deeply with ourselves and the world around us using special Modern Meditation practices along with yogic breathing, visualisation, self reflection journaling and creative conscious action. We will be diving deep into stillness, flow, insight and joy as we powerfully reflect on and realise our needs and aspirations for the year.
Each workshop will take place on a key date as the Earth moves around the Sun.
- Spring Equinox – 18 March 2023
- Summer Solstice – 17 June 2023
- Autumn Equinox – 23 September 2023
- Winter Solstice – 16 December 2023
Each workshop will be a small group and will run 10.30 – 4.00pm
You can book each workshop separately or all four together for a discount. To keep the workshops intimate and centered each session will be limited to a maximum of 10 participants.
Seasonal snacks and light lunch will be provided, along with all workshop material.
Make 2023 the year you start to reconnect with yourself anew, and book all four together 10% off plus a further 10% if booked by the end of December 2022 (early bird).
You can book and attend any of the four workshops independently, or you can book all four together for a discount.

About Ananda Barn
Designed by beanddo founder Mick Timpsn with his wife and beanddo MD Sue Manley, Ananda Barn is a net zero building touching the Earth lightly. The building is made entirely of sustainable timber, insulated by super compressed newspaper and powered by photovoltaics and air source heat pumps. The special meditation studio is divided from the house and opens up to views across the surrounding views and woodlands. Depending on the weather we can also meditate in the large garden.
I remember the tears of joy after our first meditation session and I knew you had given me something special. Thanks for guiding us all to the the bliss Mick. How beautiful!
