What we got up to in July 2017

This month has been another busy one for us; highlights have included the expanding of the beanddo team and plenty of workshops and meditation courses.

More yoga teachers – exactly what we need!

Our sister company and social enterprise, TheYogaLifeProject, announced the graduation of its latest cohort of new yoga teachers. After 18 months’ working with Mick and the team on everything from breathing and forward bends to meditation and quantum mechanics, our new teachers are ready to help make the world a happier place.

Optimal working

We’ve also been talking to innovative Manchester company Optimised Personal  Wellness about setting up a special meditation programme for CEOs, business leaders,  entrepreneurs, innovators and creators. The programme will help the city’s key wealth creators to build resilience, strengthen focus and nurture creativity. We aim to be running our first programmes at the end of September. Workplace meditation in style

We were invited to join PayCare on their business away day earlier in the month, which was held at the impressive Hagley Hall in the heart of the Black Country. The theme for this innovative company was ‘growth and change’ and Mick was invited to deliver a short talk combined with a few taster sessions on workplace meditation.

Looking after people who look after us

We also had a great time working with the team from the Heywood Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group. Everyone got involved and explored yoga and meditation-based techniques to promote wellbeing and stress reduction, while also helping to build resilience, energy and concentration.

Going on retreat

In July, we went on our annual retreat, held deep in the heart of Cumbria’s Eden Valley. Over three days we explored the links between meditation, flow and creativity. We showed our attendees that taking intermittent pauses in your working life is energising and uplifting; it might seem a bit self-indulgent but working on yourself first is the only way to get more of your work done effortlessly.

Whether you are a business looking to improve the wellbeing of your staff, or an individual keen to lower your stress levels, we have a meditation programme to suit you. Get in touch today to see how we can help.
